ato and Dragica Slade, the owners of Del Monte Restaurant, came from Dubrovnik a region where Coastal Croatia food and wine are a daily traditional celebration. Making their way to California by way of Louisiana, New Orleans and Washington D.C., they gained an expertise for fine continental cuisine. Dragica is usually found greeting her guests in the restaurant while Mato is in the kitchen creating the entrees of the day.
